Plano-based OxeFit announced that entrepreneur and author Dave Asprey and fitness entrepreneur Ann Mahlum have invested in the company’s latest funding round of $17.5 million, bringing the total funding raised to date to more than $70 million.
They join a host of top sports luminaries as investors in OxeFit, whose current investors include Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, former Cowboys player, Premier League soccer star Harry Kane and professional golfer Dustin Johnson.
“OxeFit’s XP1 and XS1 are the only products that fully integrate and holistically analyze user data from cardio, strength, balance and gaming, a key differentiator in providing users with an AI-driven training experience and personalized insights tailored to their goals and abilities,” said Rab Shanableh, CEO of OxeFit. “Dave and Anne have long pioneered data-driven approaches to living healthier lives, and we’re excited to bring their expertise to OxeFit and continue to deliver on our mission.”

Oxefit, a leader in AI-powered health and fitness experiences, said the new funding will be used to further OxeFit’s efforts to bring “cutting-edge” AI to health and fitness experiences.
“Science for a healthier, longer life”
Asprey, an entrepreneur, author and known as the “father of biohacking,” said technology produces “vast amounts of data that we can use to better ourselves, both mentally and physically.”
He called OxeFit’s data-driven approach a “game changer.”
“OxeFit’s XP1 and XS1 have unlocked the secret to giving your body exactly the tools it needs to become healthier and stronger in a very short amount of time — it’s more than just a gym,” Asprey said in a statement. “That’s why I’m excited to add OxeFit to our 30+ Upgrade Labs locations and even more excited to join the OxeFit team.”
“Together, we will use science to transform the way we move and live longer, healthier lives,” he added.
Combining AI, robotics, analytics, coaching and performance tracking
According to the company, the OxeFit experience includes a platform powered by cutting-edge technology, innovative health and wellness programs, gamification and a robust content library that empowers everyone to live a healthier life, centered around products (XP1 and XS1) that enable a deep data ecosystem.
“I have been considering many investments, but OxeFit has a product that far surpasses the competition and a talented team that knows how to execute, making it the winner in the category for me,” Solidcore founder Malam said in a statement. “I am excited to be part of this company that is changing the future of fitness with personalized data and helping people reach their health and wellness goals.”
According to the company, OxeFit’s core technology is a combination of AI, robotics, movement and performance tracking, advanced coaching and analytics – all based on data science – with the aim to connect, collaborate and ultimately transform individual health.
More AI features coming soon
OxeFit says AI features set to roll out over the coming months include:
Personalized Training Programs – The AI virtual trainer not only creates programs based on the user’s personal goals but also updates them in real-time based on how the user trains. Using an AI model based on an optimized, result-driven methodology, training data is continuously monitored and evaluated by OxeFit’s software to provide users with the “perfect workout”.
Health Snapshot and Tracking – A series of assessments and data tracking uses AI models to provide analysis and insights into a user’s health and progress. Tracking can help detect potential injuries before they occur, or determine when rehabilitation after an injury is complete.
Digital Training Assistant – An AI-based assistant is integrated into the product platform and app to help users discover new OxeFit content and create “exercise playlists” based on their goals and interests. During workouts, the assistant provides feedback on movements and form to maximize results from each session. If users have questions about their numbers, the assistant can be used to help them better understand what the data means.
AI Games for OxePlay – OxeFit’s dynamic interactive fitness games feature AI-powered “bot players” that play alongside humans when the game begins, so there’s always someone to compete against, regardless of gaming preference or skill level. According to the company, the bot’s intelligence includes human-like strategies and the ability to chat with users as they play.
