Thanks to the Office of Research and Graduate Studies, Illinois State University now has access to more than 280 hours of structured online learning in research methods teaching and learning. Although Sage Campus courses are developed by experienced academics, they are completely self-paced, allowing students to progress on their own schedule and according to their specific needs. This course provides learners with a variety of content including videos, interactives, and assessments. Topics covered include research skills and methods at all stages of academic research. Techniques such as ChatGPT interactions, cleaning data, conducting literature reviews, critical reading, data analysis, and publishing. Browse all courses on the Sage Campus platform.
Access to Sage Campus requires current affiliation with a university, but is otherwise available to all users, regardless of classification or discipline. The university currently offers LinkedIn Learning to support related topics such as statistical analysis, but access is limited to faculty, graduate assistants, and student employees. This tool may require a pro-ready plan, including alternative software and quotas if needed. This tool may require additional resources. The Canvas integration is currently in progress, but there are no plans for completion. In the meantime, you can sign up for an account and use Sage Campus within any browser. Those interested in assigning Sage Campus to their courses can read the guide for instructors, noting that OpenAthens is used for authentication. The Course Assigner role is required to create cohorts and assign courses. After setting up your account, a Milner Library eResources employee can assign you this role.
