We are recruiting transportation operators, maintenance service personnel, mechanics, engineers, etc. They serve a critical function for TriMet, allowing us to provide and add service throughout our tri-county service area.
New hires in certain positions are eligible for hiring bonuses, including a $7,500 bonus for new bus and MAX operators and a $2,500 bonus for select maintenance positions.
Last month, TriMet approved a new labor wage agreement with the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 757. Under the new contract, operators’ hourly wages will start at $29.35 and increase to $42.75 within three years.
