RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) – As part of the Logan County Tobacco Heritage Festival, Russellville Medical Center will host a community health fair and ribbon-cutting event to provide residents with an opportunity to connect with medical professionals while introducing new We have entered a new era. “We partner with the Tobacco and Heritage Festival to host a health fair each year. It’s important to us that we provide,” said Shirley Brick, Director of Patient Care Services.

The health fair will give residents the opportunity to interact with medical professionals and receive free testing.

The health fair is an annual event, but this year marks the first time it will be held under the organization’s banner after Med Center Health acquired Logan Memorial Hospital in July. Immediately after the health fair, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the hospital’s ownership change.

“The transition from Logan Memorial to Med Center has been very smooth. Everyone at Med Center Health has been very accommodating and willing to do more to provide more services and help the community receive better care. I think it’s better for the community because we can provide services here,” Brick said.

The event highlighted the hospital’s commitment to the well-being of Logan County and reinforced its role as a vital health care partner in the region.

“The acquisition of Logan Memorial, now home to the Russellville Medical Center, fits perfectly with our presence here in south central Kentucky, and it is a natural fit for Logan County to become part of that family. It seems like it is,” Rural County Vice President Eric Hagan said. hospital.

Mr Hagan also highlighted the benefits of increased local healthcare access.

“Accessibility and convenience are big factors when people seek healthcare, and as an organization we know we can provide a little more support locally than we have in the past,” Hagan said. he said.

With the resources provided by Med Center Health, Logan County residents can look forward to enhanced health care services and ensure they get the care they need without leaving their community.
