MARYSVILLE, Calif. — Adventist Health and Rideout in Marysville announced Friday that it is temporarily closing its doors to visitors, citing “safety concerns,” according to a statement.
The hospital said the closure was unrelated to the outbreak, clinical challenges or care-related issues. Staff say the hospital is confident the campus is safe, but is working with law enforcement to regulate access to the facility.
“Our hospital will continue to operate as scheduled and our emergency department will remain open seven days a week,” the hospital said. “We urge anyone experiencing a medical emergency to seek treatment immediately and not delay it.”
Exceptions to visitation include pediatric patients, individuals with pediatric patients, individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments, end of life, postpartum delivery, and NICU. Other expectations are possible but will be considered on a “case by case” basis.
The hospital said, “We understand the inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate the understanding and consideration of our patients and the local community.” “We anticipate limited visitation to be limited and will work to provide updates once visitation resumes.”
