For the first time since 2010, the Colorado women’s volleyball team won the Big 12 Conference.
The Buffaloes defeated the Red Raiders 21-25, 25-29, 25-19, 10-25 in a five-set battle Saturday night, defeating Texas Tech, ending a winless start to league play and snapping a four-game losing streak. I stopped. 15-9.
CU (8-8, 1-3 Big 12) has shaken off an 0-3 start in league play since 2019, improving its record against Texas Tech to 28-5. The Buffs have won nine of the past 10 meetings with the Red Raiders.
Lily Dwinell paced CU’s offense with 16 kills, and Sydney Jordan finished with 11 kills, four blocks, and 11 digs. Libero Sarah Morton scored 20 points.
CU will look to extend its winning streak for the first time in nearly a month when the Buffs visit UCF on Wednesday in the first matchup between the programs since 2007 (5 p.m. MT, ESPN+).
