Rita Lewis, a popular fitness trainer and mother of two, is known for encouraging her social media followers to find a balance between raising children and staying healthy. In an Instagram post in August, Lewis shared a relatable moment in which she tried to do ab workouts while her kids were sleeping, only to have them wake up unexpectedly. She encouraged other parents to keep trying, writing, “Full-time moms juggling full-time jobs, I get it!! Keep up the good work.” Her posts highlight the daily challenges of being a mom while working on fitness. Through her personal journey, Lewis shares valuable insights about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, accepting setbacks, and finding the grace to balance family and self-care.

Lewis tries to be consistent when it comes to fitness. She shared her transformation in this Instagram post. Lewis said: “The biggest challenge after a challenge is maintenance. I love when a good challenge acts as a reset and that was exactly what I needed, but maintaining what I need to take my best step forward every day.” My mantra these days is…if my best was 40% and I did it, I did 100%, and I’m kicking myself for everything I didn’t do. Blaming others is not good for anyone.”

Lewis makes sure to train his lower body. She shared some of her favorites in this Instagram video. In it, Lewis is seen doing side lunges, step-ups, and seated deadlifts. She captioned the post, “40 Hard Challenge Day ✌🏽!! And today’s workout was a lower body routine with no jumping to keep my butt from falling 🫠😆 Dear @bounceforwardclub members, this post is “Long form training tonight 😉”

Lewis likes to do weight training to stay in shape. She shared some of her favorite workouts in this Instagram post. Lewis captioned it, “This mama still gets it done at home (when she can, when she has the energy) 😆😎 She can only do 2 sets before the burpees force her to sit down It was 😏 * 1st set, number of reps shown on this reel 10-20-10-20 * 2nd set, switch the number of reps So you finish with 10 burpees (20-10-20) -10).

Lewis isn’t putting pressure on herself to lose the baby weight. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Baby #2 Postpartum is just… different 😆 I never put any stress or pressure on myself to lose what I gained. Honestly, it was just because I was too tied up with other priorities. ” I think about it too much, hahaha! But I miss the health benefits and increased energy I get from regular physical activity. That’s my biggest motivation. I want to increase my energy and strength. ”

Lewis does not tolerate failure. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Admittedly, I’ve been failing more often than actually succeeding lately, but that’s okay. This year has been extremely blessed, but it’s also been the most difficult year of my life so far. As I struggle to find my new identity, I am also encouraged by my new reason.
