Monday, October 7th
• Huskies Hockey Radio Show, 10 a.m. on Mix 93 WKMJ.

Thursday, October 10th
• Volleyball at Northern Michigan, 6:30 p.m. on FOX-UP and FloSports.

Friday, October 11th
• Blue Line Club Luncheon, 11:45 a.m.
• Soccer vs. Northern Michigan, 4 p.m., Curley Stadium, broadcast on FOX-UP and FloSports.
• Hockey vs. Alaska, 7:07 p.m. at McInnes Student Ice Arena on Mix 93 WKMJ and Midco Sports Plus.

Saturday, October 12th
• Cross Country at Lewis Crossover
• Football vs. Davenport, noon at Curley Stadium on Mix 93 WKMJ and FloSports
• Volleyball vs. Roosevelt, 2 p.m., SDC Gym on FloSports.
• Hockey vs. Alaska, 6:07 p.m. at McInnes Student Ice Arena on Mix 93 WKMJ and Midco Sports Plus.

Throughout the East, home events are displayed in bold.

Michigan Tech defeated Northern Michigan 4-3 on Saturday in exhibition play at McInnes Student Ice Arena. Elias Jansson scored twice, with Owen Baker and Nick Williams also finding the back of the net. The Huskies open the regular season this weekend against the Alaska Nanooks. Packs drop Friday at 7:07pm and Saturday at 6:07pm. The Blue Line Club will hold its first luncheon of the season at 11:45 a.m. Friday in the “old” Blue Line Room outside of University Images. To guarantee lunch, tickets must be purchased by noon on Wednesday (October 9th).

Tech opened GLIAC play with a 22-7 homecoming win over Wayne State at Curley Stadium, winning its fourth straight game. Darius Willis had two receiving touchdowns, Alex Freese had a rushing touchdown and Josh Cribben had a point at safety. Hunter Buckel and Dante Bassanese led the defense with eight tackles each. The Huskies will host Davenport on Saturday with a noon kickoff.

volleyball
High Tech defeated Lake Superior State 3-0 on Friday and Saginaw Valley State 3-2 on Saturday to complete its home weekend. Meg Rabe led the offense (4.25 km/sec), Tess Hayes set the offense (11.63 km/sec) and also led the defense (3.88 km/sec). Tech, 8-5 overall and 4-2 in the GLIAC, travels to Northern Michigan on Thursday and returns home Saturday to host President Roosevelt. FOX-UP will televise Thursday’s game at Marquette.

soccer
The Huskies dropped two GLIAC home games over the weekend, losing 1-0 to Saginaw Valley State University on Friday and 2-0 to Ferris State University on Sunday. Tech is 4-5 overall and 2-4 in the GLIAC and will host rival Northern Michigan at Curley Stadium on Friday at 4 p.m. FOX-UP will televise the game.

The Black and Gold will be back in action Saturday at the 9th annual Lewis Crossover at the Lewis XC course in Romeoville, Illinois.
