Ecotech Innovators, Community Champion for School Trucks, received Rs 2.5 million and Metal, Environmental Champion for Youth Trucks, received Rs 5 million.
Two teams from both youth and school tracks won the ‘Good Will Award’ with a cash prize of Rs 100,000, while two more teams from both tracks won the ‘Social Media Champion Award’ with a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
Samsung India has announced the winning teams Eco Tech Innovator and METAL for the third edition of ‘Solve for Tomorrow 2024’, the company’s flagship national education and innovation contest. Ecotech Innovators from Golaghat, Assam was named Community Champion for School Track, while METAL from Udupi, Karnataka was named Environmental Champion for Youth Track, demonstrating the program’s reach beyond India’s major cities.
Eco Tech Innovator, which developed the idea for equitable access to uncontaminated drinking water, has received a seed grant of Rs 25 million to advance its prototype. METAL, which has developed a technology to remove arsenic from groundwater, has received a grant of Rs 5 million for incubation at Delhi Institute of Technology. In addition, “Community Champion” schools will receive Samsung products, including a 75-inch Smart Display Flip, a Freestyle projector, and 10 Galaxy Tab S10+, to aid in education and encourage a problem-solving mindset.
