MONTREAL, Oct. 8, 2024 /CNW/ – CargoM, Montreal’s logistics and transportation city cluster, is partnering with L’Événement Carrières, Quebec’s organizing leader, to celebrate this year’s ninth annual Career Day. We are proud to have held this event. Job and training fairs. This large-scale event will be held at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal on October 2nd and 3rd, bringing together the Salon de L’Emproix, the French Formation Continuum and the National Foire, and more than 20,000 visitors under one roof. I did.

The Transport and Logistics Pavilion, hosted by CargoM, featured members such as Canadian National, St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation, Logistec, MSC Canada and Cégep Andre-Laurenteau to highlight opportunities in this key sector. Special thanks to Camo-Route and the Saint-Jérôme Center for Transport Route Formation (CFTR), which captivated visitors with their truck driving simulator, and the Maritime Employers Association (MEA), which provided the crane operation simulator.

In total, there were hundreds of job openings, demonstrating the diversity of careers offered in the industry.

CargoM remains committed to working closely with its members and partners to foster careers and training in the logistics and freight transport sector. As labor shortages continue, especially in the trucking and shipping industries, it is imperative that we continue to focus on the industry and unravel its mysteries. Through our joint efforts, CargoM’s projects and initiatives, led by our Workforce Task Force, aim to attract new talent and introduce the many career and training opportunities available.
