MCC to hold career and technology open house on October 16th

McHenry County College’s new Foglia Center for Advanced Technology and Innovation. Crystal Lake College will host an open house on business and technology careers and programs on October 16th. Provided by McHenry County College

Are you interested in the field of business or technology?

Get an inside look at potential careers and related McHenry County College programs at an open house on Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the MCC Conference Center, 8900 US Route 14 in Crystal Lake. Let’s try it.

Participants can participate in career-related activities, meet with faculty, local employers, and other students, and receive materials and resources to answer questions about the program and careers. MCC recruitment and admissions, financial aid, registration, advising, and career services personnel will be on-site. Prizes and refreshments will also be available at the event.

“These programs provide training for some of today’s most in-demand and fastest-growing careers,” said Amy Calzoli, assistant vice president for enrollment services at MCC. “Our classes are taught by experienced professionals and our curriculum is developed with input from local employers, meaning our students have the cutting-edge skills our community needs. You will graduate with these skills.”

This event is open to everyone, including prospective students, their parents, local employers, and currently employed individuals interested in continuing their education. No registration required.

Business and technology programs available at MCC include software application design and development; network security. Computer science; administrative technology. accounting. business, marketing and management. digital media. And graphic art.

Information will also be available about Catalyst Campus programs, including the Talent Impact Center (which provides employee training) and the Career Spark Center (which provides rapid, short-term training in areas such as project management, cybersecurity, and more).
