DAVENPORT, Iowa — The Quad Cities will host the MS Walk for the first time since 2018.
“Hey MS, Take a Walk” will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. You can register as a team or as an individual here. We welcome families, pets, and people of all ages to join us.
There are 1-mile and 5-mile walking options, with the main walk starting at Bechtel Park in Davenport, crossing the Arsenal Bridge, and ending at Schwiebert Riverfront Park in Rock Island.
Organizers believe this is the first time the MS Walk begins in Davenport and ends across the river at Rock Island.
Funds raised will go to the National MS Society for research, education, support programs, advocacy, professional education, and support for healthcare professionals.
“We raise money in communities across the country to make it accessible to everyone. People are riding their bikes in New York to reach voters in the Quad Cities,” said Kath, president of the National MS Society Upper Midwest Chapter. Leanne O’Donnell wrote in an email. News 8.
