On October 9th at Kibby Dome, students representing all interests, aspirations and fields of study gathered to embark on this year’s Career Fair. A huge number of companies and representatives enthusiastically met the professionally attired Vandals on their journey to discover future interns and employees. A buzz of confidence and anticipation filled the air as many students discovered their professional potential.

Handshakes, sales pitches and corporate merchandise lined up the occasion. Once enrolled, students showed off their pull-up skills at one of the many military recruiting tables. There were many military-related services that encouraged jobs related to one’s chosen field within the military.

The focus on STEM was notable, as most stands were looking for students with engineering degrees or degrees in fields related to the natural sciences, such as forestry. There were several options for students in the field of business, including investing, financial advising, and sales representing a specific company.

If you’re interested in furthering your education or stepping into a university staff role, many universities support their programmes. Police departments from all over the Northwest were looking for students looking to pursue a career in law enforcement. If you are a liberal arts major, it may be difficult to find a place to advance your career because there are not many relevant institutions.

Major companies such as Chobani, Gritman Medical Center, and Wendy’s were attracting students, and each company had the potential to launch a career. The delegates offered their knowledge and wisdom in a friendly atmosphere to welcome the nervous students. Many offered internships and some accepted resumes for job opportunities within their businesses.

As Jordan Lobenstein testified, the consensus of the career fair was that it was a “great experience building connections with potential employers,” and like many people, she was a little nervous. However, he felt it was “beneficial to be able to see all the opportunities.” I’ll be there. ” The event allowed students to learn how to weave a web of professional connections, discover their path and develop the skills and requirements needed for the future.

If you are unable to attend this Career Fair but are interested in these opportunities, please come to our Spring Career Fair on February 12, 2025. There are many resources available for preparation so each student looks confident and knowledgeable. . The list of participating organizations will be published online, so you can research and find options within your degree. Your advisor will help you fully prepare your resume and practice your elevator pitch.

This career fair was definitely a success and gave the Vandals an opportunity to prepare for the future, with no doubt that many will follow suit in the future.
