Ramona students explore multimedia careers with Chargers Career Pathways Panel

Ramona students had the unique opportunity to participate in a career pathway panel where they interacted with multimedia professionals from the Los Angeles Chargers organization. The event will be held at the Chargers’ state-of-the-art practice facility, the Vault, and is designed to provide students with valuable insight into various media industry career paths, essential skills needed, and real-world experience. did.

One of the highlights of the event was the diverse backgrounds of the panelists. Each is of Hispanic descent and was in conjunction with the Los Angeles Chargers’ celebration of Latino Heritage Month. Senior Katherine C. recognized the potential of sports in community development. “Sports can bring together an entire workforce community, and it takes determination to make that happen,” she says.

The panel included reporting, photography, human resources, and advertising experts, each of whom shared their unique professional journeys, challenges, and accomplishments.

Senior Caroline R. reflected on how impactful the panel discussion was for her. “This insight was extremely important because it reinforced my desire to remain authentic in my journey,” she said.

Throughout the event, students actively participated by asking insightful questions, leading to engaging discussions about career choices, educational requirements, and multimedia industry trends. Many found the real-life stories shared by the panelists to be relatable and inspiring, and gave them a clearer picture of what it takes to succeed in a media-related field.

The panel also provided a unique networking opportunity. Students were encouraged to connect with professionals and gain valuable connections for future internship and job opportunities. Participants left the event feeling motivated and prepared to explore a career in multimedia, with a renewed sense of purpose and direction.

The Career Paths Panel was a huge success, leaving a lasting impression on students and providing them with the tools and inspiration they needed to pursue their passion for multimedia careers.
