MERRIAM, Kan. (KCTV) – A new Mediterranean option in Merriam hopes to bring heart, health, and humanity to every dish served in the Kansas City metro.
Officials with CAVA, a national Mediterranean restaurant chain, announced Friday, Oct. 11, that Merriam’s new restaurant has opened at 8701 Shawnee Mission Pkwy. at Merriam Grand Station.
Leaders said Mediterranean-style bowls, pitas, dips and dressings will become delicious staples to help area residents eat and live healthily.
“Our mission is to bring heart, health and humanity to food, and everything we do at CAVA is grounded in a spirit of generosity to our guests, team members and community,” said Nick, Regional Director.・Mr. Sickler says: “I couldn’t be more excited to be coming to Merriam.”
Before the doors officially opened, CAVA said new neighbors were invited to the table for a free meal. Donations to support Harvesters, a Feeding America member organization, will also be accepted, with restaurant donations set at a maximum of $1,000.

Since 2019, CAVA said its company-wide Community Day program has raised more than $500,000 to eliminate food insecurity in local communities.
The restaurant is open daily from 10:45 AM to 10 PM. Click here for more information.
