• Soccer at Davenport, 2 p.m. on FloSports.
• Volleyball vs. Quincy, Midwest Regional Crossover, 3 p.m.
• Volleyball vs. Tiffin, Midwest Regional Crossover, 8 p.m.

Saturday, October 19th
• Football at Ferris State, broadcast on Mix 93 WKMJ and FloSports at 1 p.m.
• Volleyball vs TBA in Midwest Regional Crossover

Sunday, October 20th
• Football at Ferris State, 1 p.m. on FloSports.

hockey
Michigan Tech hockey opened the regular season with a non-conference series sweep at Alaska. The Huskies won in overtime on Friday, winning 2-1 both nights. Max Koskipilutti, Elias Jansson, Steven Sardarian and Chase Pietila scored on the weekend. Max Vailinen made 15 saves on Friday and Saturday the 29th, earning wins at both pipes. Tech will take the weekend off and host Clarkson on Oct. 25 and 26 at John McInnes Student Ice Arena.

cross country
The 23rd ranked boys cross country team finished seventh at Saturday’s Lewes Crossover. Sam Lange led the boys team in 25th place. The women’s team finished in 19th place and was led by Sophia Lyne, who placed 35th. The Huskies conclude their regular season on Friday before heading to Escanaba for the Bay College Invitational.

football
Tech football lost 24-20 to Davenport on Saturday at Curley Stadium. Jake Ruff, Darius Willis and Drew Collins scored touchdowns for the Huskies, but the Panthers scored an extra point and a field goal to win. Dante Bassanese led the defense with 10 tackles. The Huskies are 4-2 overall and 1-1 in GLIAC games and head to No. 4 Ferris State for a 1 p.m. kickoff.

volleyball
Tech split the weekend with a 3-1 loss at Northern Michigan on Thursday and a 3-0 sweep over Roosevelt on Saturday at SDC Gym. Rachel Zurek led the offense (3.29 km/sec), Tess Hayes set the attack (10.86 km/sec) and Amelia Albers led the defense (4.00 km/sec). Tech finished non-conference play in the Midwest Region Crossover with a record of 9-6 overall and 5-3 in the GLIAC. The Huskies play Quincy and Tiffin on Friday and end the weekend on Saturday.

soccer
The Huskies played one game last week, losing 2-0 to Northern Michigan on Friday. Tech is 4-6 overall and 2-5 in the GLIAC and heads to Davenport on Friday and Ferris State on Sunday.
