In commemoration of the 62nd “Sports Day” (October 15th every year).

At the “Physical Fitness King Contest” held at Olympic Park Peace Plaza on the 13th, the winners of the regional qualifying rounds (2,344 people) and the finals (1,909 people) at 75 fitness certification centers nationwide were selected to have outstanding physical strength from each region. 75 people competed. This year’s physical fitness king.

At the competition, physical fitness was measured in six categories, including muscle strength and heart, and 24 male and female fitness champions (1st to 3rd place in each category) were selected in four categories: youth, middle-aged, elderly, and elderly. Lung endurance and agility.

Of these, Dr. Kim Byung-yoon (65, Jeonju Physical Fitness Certification Center) and Dr. Moon Young-ran (65, Busan Nam-gu Physical Fitness Certification Center) came out on top with high overall scores. The two physical fitness champions were awarded an injury prize worth 1 million won and the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award, while the remaining 22 were awarded the Korea Sports Corporation Chairman’s Award and an injury prize worth 500,000 won (the difference depending on the ranking). .

Chairman Cho Hyun-jae said, “I hope that today’s event will be an opportunity for more people to take care of their physical strength and improve their health and happiness.” He said, “I will continue to do my best to make the Republic of Korea a healthy sports welfare society through the National Physical Fitness 100 Project.”
