rocket league
This week, Tech’s Rocket League team earned a dominant 3-0 victory against Clark University. Their victory was a powerful statement of the strength and strong bond this team has built throughout the season.
After last week’s disastrous loss, the team was hoping to make a strong statement and come back. As a result, this week’s game was a great one for this Tech team’s scoring ability and teamwork. In each match, they were able to score more than 5 goals, but only allowed a maximum of 2 goals to their opponents. In the third game alone, Isaac Stilwell was able to score five of the six goals. The strength of the Tech team was shown through the high number of assists and goals scored by each player in every game.
The team will aim to continue this momentum in the coming weeks of games. They will be looking to resume their winning streak next week against the University of Toledo.
smash
After a heated battle, Tech’s Super Smash Bros Ultimate (SSBU) team was eliminated with a 1-2 loss. The opponent DePaul University showed a high level of skill in the match and was able to defeat the Institute of Technology.
This is a tough loss for the team, but they have consistently improved and will continue to prove themselves. After losing the first game, Tech entered the second game hungry and was able to come away with a stunning victory. However, it wasn’t enough for the team to win the match.
Teams entering their bye week are looking forward to the opportunity to gain additional practice time to hone their skills and knowledge in the game.
Valorant
This week, Tech’s Valorant team suffered a tough loss against St. John’s University. Although the result was not what the team had hoped for, they still showed both their individual and team skills in the match.
Although the match did not go as planned for this Tech team, they were still able to win the round on both the offensive and defensive sides. They showed that even in unlucky situations, they can work together as a team to defeat enemies on both sides of the map. They were able to learn from their opponents and gain more knowledge not only about their opponents but about their team’s gameplay in general.
They will focus on the coming weeks of competition, learning from each match and improving their play going forward.
overwatch
This week, Tech’s Overwatch team faced an unfortunate loss that ended their undefeated season.
Although it was not the result the team had hoped for going into the game, it was a demonstration of the skill and teamwork that they have developed throughout the season with wins. In one game, Tech’s team showed resilience and fought hard to stay on top. Unfortunately, this match alone did not lead to victory, but they were still able to show their skill and passion for the game.
This team will look to rally for another win and show their passion for the game against Rowan University.
call of duty
Tech University’s Call of Duty team unfortunately lost again against Fisher College and was eliminated from the game. This was a well fought game and although the result was not what the team had hoped for, they were able to keep each game close.
Technical teams compete weekly, aiming to improve their abilities and bond as a team. During the post-match interview, Daniel “Pinelli” Daines felt they played a great game and said he would “take all the good and work on the bad” and looked forward to working on the necessary improvements. There is.
Although the results don’t reflect that, this team is showing significant signs of growth and improvement. The tech community will continue to work together going into the bye week with the goal of winning.
