College of Public Health hosts research expo | Newsroom

The UNMC College of Public Health will host the 4th Annual Midwest Public Health Innovation and Research Expo (PHIRE) on Friday, October 25th at the Maurer Center for Public Health. A full schedule of speakers will share their research, current initiatives, and timely scholarly activities.

The guest speaker will be Dr. Svetla Slavova, a professor of biostatistics at the University of Kentucky, whose research focuses on analytical approaches to understanding and combating the opioid epidemic.

Other schedule highlights include:
• Speakers from Creighton University Population Health Institute and CyncHealth
• Research poster session
• College of Public Health Innovation Fund award recipients provide updates
• Student research
• Breakfast and lunch provided.
