LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech returns to Jones AT&T Stadium on Saturday when the Red Raiders host Baylor for homecoming. Fans are encouraged to wear red for the 3 p.m. kickoff.
Below is a list of game day information fans can expect at Jones AT&T Stadium this Saturday.
A full house is expected for the third time this season.
Texas Tech has sold out primary ticket inventory for Saturday’s contest. Fans still looking for seats should turn to SeatGeek, the athletics department’s official secondary ticket provider. There are only two authorized sources of tickets for this game: tickets purchased directly from the Texas Tech Athletics Ticket Office and tickets purchased from SeatGeek, our official secondary ticket partner.
Tickets purchased from other sources are not guaranteed to be valid and the Texas Tech Athletics Ticket Office cannot assist fans who obtain counterfeit tickets from unauthorized sources. Please use extreme caution when purchasing through other third-party sellers. Remember, if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.
Fans seeking assistance with ticket authenticity on game day can visit the Jones AT&T Stadium box office. Ticket booths will open at 12pm on game day.
“Tap and Go” mobile ticket system to speed up stadium entry | Digital ticket information
Texas Tech has introduced a new “tap and go” mobile ticketing system this season to allow fans to enter each game day faster. All soccer tickets, including premium areas, will continue to be 100% mobile-only, but will no longer use QR codes for scanning. Instead, fans place their downloaded mobile tickets near a ticket scanner that wirelessly identifies each mobile ticket. Fans with multiple tickets must swipe each ticket horizontally and tap near the scanner to enter.
Most importantly, to further protect ticket holders from fraud and counterfeit purchases, Texas Tech University will no longer accept screenshots of mobile tickets. Fans who need to transfer tickets can do so online through their TexasTech.com account or through the official Texas Tech mobile app. Detailed instructions can be found here from TexasTech+.
Texas Tech adds three new gates for stadium entry
Texas Tech will add three new entrance gates to Jones AT&T Stadium this season, located in the new south end zone building. Gates 8 and 10 will serve all fans on either the west or east side of the stadium, while fans with premium seating in the south end zone building will be able to enter through Gate 9. The new south end zone building will feature an expanded concourse, giving fans easy 360-degree access throughout the stadium.
National broadcasts set up on ESPN2 and the ESPN app
Texas Tech fans without tickets can watch Red Raiders games live from Jones AT&T Stadium with Beth Mowins, Rod Gilmore and Lauren Sisler on ESPN2. Games can also be streamed to smart TVs and mobile devices via the ESPN app.
Pre-game flyover set before kickoff
Texas Tech will hold a pregame flyover Saturday after the national anthem (weather permitting), featuring four T-38s from Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls. Two Texas Tech University graduates will be featured on Saturday’s flight crew.
Texas Tech University offers 5,000 koozies at student gates
Texas Tech University plans to hand out 5,000 koozies emblazoned with “West Texas Tough” to the first Red Raider students to walk through Gate 6 on Saturday. Student gates open in the southeast corner of the stadium two hours before kickoff of each game.
ARTARIS Headline Raider Alley Stage Pre-Game
There’s no better spot on game day than Raider Alley, presented by Bud Light. Raider Alley opens four hours before kickoff every Saturday and offers plenty of entertainment for fans of all ages in the heart of Texas Tech University’s campus. Raider Alley is headlined by pregame music performances each week beginning two hours before kickoff. The Raider Alley Concert Series is once again sponsored by the Davis Smith Law Firm and will feature exciting performances approximately two hours before kickoff each week during the season. Ataris will take the stage Saturday at 1 p.m., right after the Raider Walk.
Say hello to the Red Raider during Raider Walk
Fans can say hello to the Red Raiders on their way to Jones AT&T Stadium every Saturday as the Raider Walk begins approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes before kickoff. Joey McGuire and the Red Raiders will be dropped off just south of the Sports Performance Center on Saturday around 12:45 p.m., then walk north on Drive of Champions Avenue to the game day stadium in the new south end zone building. Head to the locker room. Fans are encouraged to line up for the Drive of Champions as the Red Raiders will be joined by the Saddle Tramps and Texas Tech Spirit programs.
Digital game program now available
Texas Tech offers a digital game program every Saturday that includes rosters, stats and information for both teams. The game program is currently live and can be found here.
Sixth Avenue reopens to pedestrians only
Texas Tech reopened 6th Avenue between the south end zone building and the Sports Performance Center to pedestrian traffic this season. This area was previously closed due to construction of the South End Zone Building and the Dustin R. Wamble Football Center project. Access to the area near the Womble Football Center will be restricted to pedestrians until the project is completed later this season.
Latest information on parking near Merket Alumni Association
For fans accustomed to parking on the south side of campus near the Mercette Alumni Center, please note that both the parking lot and the R-13 parking lot will be unavailable this weekend due to university events.
Big Chicken is among the new concession options
Texas Tech has expanded its concession options this season with the addition of the Big Chicken and two new to-go marketplaces. Big Chicken, the chain founded by Shaquille O’Neal, will be located on the southeast side of the concourse in the new South End Zone, while Touchdown Tavern will offer hot food options further west. Touchdown Tavern will also include a to-go marketplace, one of two new self-service locations at Jones AT&T Stadium this season that will be available to all fans. In addition to Touchdown Tavern, Texas Tech is constructing a new marketplace called Matador Marketplace on the mezzanine on the west side of the stadium, offering fans access between the original location near Gate 1 and “Take Three.” It offered four quick grab-and-go options. TEXAS TECH partners with STADIUMDROP to make discount distribution simpler
This season, fans can skip the concession lines by using StadiumDrop to deliver a variety of food and alcohol options to their seats. StadiumDrop is a peer-to-peer in-seat food and beverage ordering and delivery application that allows fans to easily order stadium perks through Texas Tech’s mobile app. Stadium Drop, similar to many home food delivery apps, has staff at each home game to help deliver to your seats.
Jones AT&T Stadium remains completely cashless
Jones AT&T Stadium is a completely cashless venue at all points of sale, including the Texas Tech Ticket Office, all concession stands, and Red Raider Outfitter, the Texas Tech Athletics’ game day retailer. We accept credit cards, debit cards, and contactless payment methods at all points of sale.
Citibus operates shuttle service for fans
CityBus will provide round-trip shuttle service for just $6 per person from three hours before kickoff until one hour after the game ends. Pick-up locations are north of the John Walker Soccer Complex (Texas Tech Parkway and 10th Avenue) and northwest of the Health Sciences Center (ADA only, Texas Tech Parkway and 5th Avenue). This season, City Bus will also provide fan shuttle service from the parking lot to Raider Alley on game days as part of game day transportation. The drop-off location at the north end of Engineering Key will be added to the regular City Bus game day route. City Bus only accepts payments through the “Go Pass” app. Signs and QR codes will be displayed near each pick-up location on game day.
Unopened water bottles are allowed into all competition venues
As a reminder, fans are permitted to bring unopened 20-ounce (or smaller) bottles of water to outdoor athletic fields on campus. Please note that frozen water cannot pass through the stadium gates. Open bottles other than 20 ounce (or smaller) bottles are not permitted. Empty drink containers are permitted at Jones AT&T Stadium and all competition venues.
Clear bag policy remains in place at all competition venues
Texas Tech’s clear bag policy remains in effect at all athletic venues during the 2024-25 athletic year. Fans may bring bags or packages to the venue in the following styles and sizes:
A clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bag not exceeding 12 inches x 6 inches x 12 inches A 1-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar). Small clutch bags, approximately palm-sized (with or without handles) and straps may be carried into the venue in clear plastic bags, although exceptions may be made for medically necessary items after appropriate inspection. Texas Tech University Reentry Policy
Re-entry to Jones AT&T Stadium will not be permitted throughout the 2024 season. Fans will need new tickets to re-enter the stadium.
