Shippensburg University Career Center held a job and internship fair on October 4th.
Over 120 companies and organizations participated, and students were invited to meet with recruiters located at ShipRec to discuss career opportunities.
Some of the most prominent employers participating in the event include WebFX, Volvo Group North America, Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, Bravo Group, Deloitte, and more.
Students were encouraged to bring their resumes to give to employers. We were also encouraged to wear professional attire. Students wearing business attire may also receive a professional headshot upon entry, which can be used as the profile picture on the student’s LinkedIn profile.
At the fair, students were encouraged to wear name tags and list their major.
The companies participating in the exhibition targeted several majors and interests. From business and marketing to public relations, engineering and more, the Job & Internship Fair offered a variety of opportunities across all areas of interest.
Many employers at the job fair were looking for students to hire for spring and summer internships, while others were looking for future employees for their companies or businesses. By talking with companies, students can learn more about companies and what they look for in their employees.
In the week leading up to the Job & Internship Fair, the Career Center held several events to help students prepare, including the Resumania event. To find more events from the Career Center, follow @shipcareer on Instagram.
