Elon Musk said Sunday he plans to beef up security after a left-wing German magazine labeled him an enemy of the people.

Musk held a town hall debate in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Sunday in support of former President Donald Trump’s candidacy. Musk addressed the audience and commented on the heightened political atmosphere across the country leading up to November’s presidential election.

He noted that he recently appeared on the cover of Der Spiegel magazine, where he was labeled “Public Enemy No. 2,” the first being Trump.

“I’m like enemy number two of what? Um, democracy? I mean, I’m a supporter of democracy. I’m literally defending the Constitution and trying to make sure we have free and fair elections. We are here,” Musk said, drawing applause. From the crowd.

“I’m definitely increasing security. I think we should cancel that convertible parade,” Musk said, referring to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy. It was something.

SpaceX’s CEO said he was “a little disturbed” by the “level of intense hatred on the left.”

“They claim to be tolerant, but they’re still incredibly intolerant and spewing hate,” Musk said. “On the other hand, I see people on the right tend to think of people on the left as, well, misguided. But they don’t hate them…but… The amount of hate coming from the left is like, wow, next level.”

Fox News Digital has reached out to Spiegel for a response.

Former President Trump survived two assassination attempts. The first time was during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July, and the second time about two months later while playing golf at a club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
