Virginia Tech’s onslaught this season has been nothing short of sensational, and it’s all thanks to one man: Beischl Tuten. Tuten was recently named the Walter Camp National FBS Player of the Week after a four-touchdown performance and a 266-yard chip shot against Boston College. Tuten has gained 871 yards through seven games. He averages 7 yards per carry and has 12 rushing touchdowns.

Beishl Tuten had a historic night against Boston College, breaking the Hokies’ single-game rushing record. This game begged the question, “Can Beischur Tuten catch Ashton Giunty, one of the best rushers in the country?” The results showed multiple points that are debatable for Tuten to take the lead as the nation’s leading rusher.

“Tuten has scored at least one touchdown per game this season, but compared to Giunty, who didn’t score at all against Portland State, Tuten has now totaled 10 touchdowns on the season. , with five games left in the season, he can score consistently with his receiving and rushing, and there’s a good chance he’ll do that.

Tuten improved his record for at least one rushing touchdown per game to nine times this season.

See what our own RJ Schaefer had to say about Tooten

“Virginia Tech has a long history of running backs in program history, including Darren Evans’ long-standing record of 253 yards rushing in a game, and Mike Imoh’s dominant 243-yard performance.” We’ve seen a lot of dominant single-game performances by backs. Evans accomplished this, as did Mike Imoh, who accomplished the feat with 32 carries, while Beichul Tuten had only 18 rushes. He rushed for 266 yards, averaging 14.8 yards per carry, breaking the record held by Heisman favorite running back Ashton Giunty. I haven’t touched it this year. ”

Tuten and the Hokies will be facing an excellent run defense in the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets this Saturday, so it will be interesting to see how Tuten fares against them. Also, can Tuten continue his single-game rushing touchdown streak this weekend? Tune in to ACC Network this Saturday at noon to find out.
