Family of murdered tech executive Bob Lee slams killer’s sister

The ex-wife of murdered Cash App founder Bob Lee has slammed the sister of murder defendant Nima Momeni.

Krista Lee, ex-wife of slain technology executive Bob Lee, slams murder suspect’s sister outside court Victim’s family says sister’s testimony is full of lies Sister compiles testimony

SAN FRANCISCO – After days of testimony by Hazar Momeni, the sister of murder suspect Nima Momeni, the ex-wife of slain technology executive Bob Lee is fed up.

“My husband was murdered,” Christa Lee told reporters Wednesday during a break in Momeni’s murder trial. “My husband was murdered. It was our family that was murdered, and she has no right to make me the victim.” She has no rights. She can be free of herself,” he told reporters.

San Francisco prosecutors said Momeni stabbed the victim because he believed Lee’s alleged dealer had given Momeni’s sister a large amount of drugs and slapped her from behind. said.

But Momeni’s lawyers claim it was Bob Lee who first attacked Momeni with the knife, and that Momeni then grabbed the knife and stabbed Lee in self-defense. .

In recent days, the defendant’s sister, Hazar Nomeni, has been on the stand, peppering her responses to prosecutors with the words “I don’t remember,” attributing much of her memory loss to heavy drug use at the time of the murder. I am doing it.

Lee’s family characterizes her testimony as full of lies, but only insofar as it would help her brother.

But what angered Krista Lee on Wednesday was that she accused Hazar Momeni of sending her “coercive and threatening” messages.

In the documents, Krista Lee called Ms. Hazard derogatory terms and asked her whereabouts so she could serve a court summons, the DA’s office said. However, the DA’s office says Krista Lee did not send the message directly to Hazard. Instead, Krista Lee sent it to her friend. The friend took a screenshot, which Hazard ended up seeing.

Tim Oliver Lee, the victim’s brother, also criticized Hazar Momeni’s testimony.

“It was really hard to see Hazard with two sides today,” he said outside the court. “On one side, she’s really heartbroken over her brother’s death, but on the other side, she’s trying to take every opportunity to assassinate him as a person. We’re trying to take advantage of all the situations we’ve been talking about and expressing our pain and use it to our advantage.” “

After Krista Lee spoke to reporters, Judge Alexandra Robert Gordon took the jurors one by one and asked them privately whether they witnessed the incident and, if so, to ignore it. The judge also tried Krista Lee, Tim Oliver Lee, and his father, Rick Lee, separately. Christa Lee was barred from the courtroom as long as Hazard was on the witness stand. But the sisters finished testifying Wednesday, after which the jury heard from other witnesses.

The trial resumes on Thursday.
