The ACC race is finally approaching its home line. The final month has been an exciting one and the conference title picture looks very clear at the moment. Miami, Clemson, SMU and Pitt enter November undefeated in conference play, but not all of these teams will play each other. We’ll likely see a combination of these five teams for the ACC title, but which one will it be?
Miami will be the heavy favorite for every game remaining this season, while Clemson has a tough three-game series coming up. The Tigers are scheduled to play Louisville, Virginia Tech and Pitt to clinch an ACC spot, and even one loss could prevent Dabo Swinney’s team from going to Charlotte.
SMU and Pitt are scheduled to face off this weekend in one of the biggest games of the year in the ACC. The winner will be in a good position to remain in the ACC race.
A team that no one is talking about much is Virginia Tech. The Hokies only have one loss in the conference, but they still have to play Clemson. The Hokies have to get some things right, but they’re still playing catch-up.
It will be difficult for any team other than these five to get a chance. Louisville already has two losses in the conference, and everyone else has at least three. Right now, Miami, Clemson, Pitt, SMU, and Virginia Tech have things under control.
