Maddie said: “I wasn’t prepared for the side effects of being thin: feeling hungry after eating, feeling tired all the time, dreaming about food, wanting to be alone, losing sex drive and periods. These include extreme mood swings, urges to overeat, and strained relationships.”
In a long caption, she asked why she would share something like this with her followers at a time when so many people are blindly following social media and fitness influencers and doing everything they can to stay thin. explained.
She writes, “Most fitness influencers don’t talk about this, but…this is the reality you impose on yourself when you go on an extreme diet, especially as a woman.”
She then listed the reason she wanted to share this, saying, “Because I don’t want anyone who visits my page to think that what I did was necessary for optimal health. Share my changes. It’s fun, but what did it take to get to this point? Folks, walking around with veins and striations on our abdomens can be detrimental to our health and can cost us a great deal of our lives.
