START Cancer Research Center and Rioja Salud Foundation announce new partnership to further expand access to early clinical trials in Spain
The expansion builds on START’s existing footprint in Spain, including two locations in Madrid at Sanchinaro Hospital and Jiménez Díaz University Hospital, and a location at Nou Delfos Hospital in Barcelona. This announcement follows START’s June announcement of a partnership with Northwell Health to establish two new early-stage clinical trial sites in New York.
The new START site will be co-located with San Pedro University Hospital, which admits 1,800 new cancer patients annually. Importantly, it is located in the heart of the northern regions of Aragon, Pais Vasco, Navarra, Castile and León, Cantabria and Asturias.
