GREENVILLE — Northern Light CA Dean Hospital will host a free certified nursing assistant training program in Greenville for those who want to pursue a rewarding career in the medical field. Students accepted into the course receive free training and are paid for the time they spend learning in the classroom or in the hospital.

GREENVILLE — Northern Light CA Dean Hospital will host a free certified nursing assistant training program in Greenville for those who want to pursue a rewarding career in the medical field.

Students accepted into the course receive free training and are paid for their learning time in the classroom or hospital. Through a combination of education and work hours (as a Patient Experience Assistant), students become full-time employees during their training.

“CNAs earn competitive salaries and benefits, enjoy career flexibility, and most importantly, have the opportunity to make a difference in patient lives every day. Additionally, the CNA experience is and other clinical fields,” says Nikki Chadwick, RN, MSN, CPHQ, vice president of education and preparation, one of the course’s instructors. .

Certified nursing assistants are important members of the care team who support both patients and nurses. A CNA’s duties include taking vital signs, recording, transporting, providing basic care, and assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing and eating.

Students who successfully complete the course and state board exam receive certification and transition to a full-time CNA position at CA Dean Hospital.

The program is offered in partnership with AR Gould Hospital and MSAD1 Adult and Community Education and will run from December to February 2025. No clinical experience is required to apply.
