UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State’s 2024 National Science Foundation-funded Undergraduate Climate Science Research Experience (REU) concluded successfully, with 16 students presenting posters about their summer research projects. .
This REU can be used by undergraduate students to advance research in climate science, scientific research, and science communication, from hypothesis generation to communicating research results and their implications to other scientists and the general public. The Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences has hosted this REU program since 2013. REU brings students from around the country to the University Park campus each summer to work with Penn State faculty on climate science research. PhD scholars and graduate students.
