Maryland Auto, in collaboration with the University of Baltimore Advisory Board, joined the Business Studies Department and Business Club at Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) to participate in another series of Risk Management and Insurance Career Day Fairs.
Sessions were held at the CCBC Essex Campus on October 23rd and at the CCBC Catonsville Campus on October 24th.
Last spring, Maryland Auto and CCBC held career fairs on both university campuses that were well attended. These information fairs educated high school and college students about the benefits and opportunities available through a career in the insurance industry.
“Career opportunities in the industry are expanding beyond the well-known roles of sales/insurance agent, claims adjuster, and underwriting,” said Maryland Automotive Executive Director and Maryland said Al Redmer Jr., two-time state insurance commissioner. “This industry offers tremendous opportunity and career stability. No matter your area of interest or skill, there are endless opportunities in the world of insurance. Students can choose to study law, billing, and more, to name just a few. , explore specialized areas such as information technology, human resources, data analytics, sales, marketing, communications, and operations.
Experts from various insurance companies and industry experts answered questions from career fair attendees. Several participating organizations scheduled on-site interviews for interns and mid-career positions.
