NEWTOWN, Pa. — A Love For Life, a Newtown-based non-profit dedicated to supporting pancreatic cancer research, will be at 117 North Lincoln Avenue on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We’re having a huge garage sale.
Items for sale include glassware, candles, note cards, furniture, men’s and women’s clothing, books, art supplies, picture frames, pottery, planters, mirrors, holiday decorations, housewares, silver platters, fabrics, and records. , plants, vintage ornaments and more. Our range of ‘Love for Life’ merchandise includes pieces, jewelry, t-shirts, yoga tanks, etched pint glasses and more.
Additionally, lemonade, snacks and music will be provided.
Only cash transactions are accepted.
Last year’s sale raised more than $16,000 for the Newtown-based nonprofit, which hosts events during Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month each November.
“A Love for Life” is a large-scale garage sale selling merchandise such as T-shirts, yoga tanks, and etched pint glasses.
Looking ahead, A Love for Life will be partnering with the historic Newtown Theater to present a special screening of the film Purple Rain on Thursday, November 21st at 7:30pm.
This 1984 film starring rock legend Prince follows a young musician struggling with an abusive domestic situation who must contend with a rival singer, a budding romance, and his own disgruntled band. This is the story.
The cost is $20 and includes a complimentary Purple Cocktail (or non-alcoholic option) and a few surprise sweets along the way. All guests must be 18 years or older. 100 percent of proceeds will go directly to Penn Medicine’s pancreatic cancer research.
