Alisson Becker could return from injury for Liverpool’s game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
The Reds’ number one has missed the team’s last two games, but Arne Slott provided a positive update on his fitness in Friday morning’s pre-match press conference.
“We think he’s (ready to play),” the head coach said.
“He trained part of the session with the group yesterday, so we expect him to do the whole session today. So I think he’s available, but of course he has to train today. It won’t happen.
“And of course we’re really happy to have Alisson back, but I want to highlight the fact that Caoichin (Kelleher) has had a really good performance in the two games where he’s scored for us. Another example of scoring two goals, and I think even with three, there are good options in certain positions. ”
