PHOENIX — The Phoenix Fire Department is mourning the loss of one of its firefighters following the unexpected death.
The department announced the death of Adam Cauthron on Sunday morning. He worked as a firefighter paramedic for 18 years and was a member of FEMA’s Arizona Task Force 1.
“Adam’s death is a tremendous loss, and we extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and fellow firefighters during this difficult time. Phoenix Fire Department and United Phoenix Firefighters Local 493 The Coalition is working closely with his loved ones to provide support and support “any assistance needed,” Phoenix Fire Department Capt. Todd Keller said in the release.
The ministry said Cauthron died after suffering a sudden health emergency while off-duty. He leaves behind a wife and children.
“He will be remembered as a devoted husband and father who loved his family, friends and exploring the outdoors,” Keller said.
The ministry plans to announce details of his memorial service in the coming days. A GoFundMe has been organized to support Cotron’s family.
