After a rocky start to the season, Kansas City Chiefs starting tight end Travis Kelce broke the franchise record for most receptions on Sunday afternoon against the Los Angeles Chargers.
In the first half of Sunday’s game, Kelce had five receptions for 74 yards.
The 34-year-old out of the University of Cincinnati was selected by the Chiefs in the third round, 66th overall, in the 2013 NFL Draft.
During his career with the Chiefs, Kelce averaged 70 yards per game and totaled 915 receptions over 12 years.
There are concerns because the tight end got off to a slow start this season, averaging just under 9 yards per reception and yet to score a touchdown in 3 1/2 games.

Kelce’s turnaround came at just the right time for fans who had almost given up on the veteran tight end.
