This fall, SoLAcc is announcing a series of career fairs that will give students, alumni, and the general public the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and explore a variety of employment opportunities.
Sponsored by SoLAcc’s Career Services, these events provide a platform for networking, learning, and career advancement.
“These career fairs are a great opportunity for students, alumni, and community members to meet face-to-face with companies eager to connect with Acadiana talent,” said Toni Celestin, director of career and exam services at SoLAcc. Masu. “We are committed to providing a platform where participants can explore a wide range of career paths and gain valuable insights to help shape their professional futures.”

Practical Nursing Career Fair
Date and time: October 7, 2024 (Monday)
Time: 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM
Location: Ville Platte Campus, 1124 Vocational Dr., Ville Platte
The fair is tailored for students pursuing a career in practical nursing and provides an opportunity to connect with healthcare professionals and search for job openings in the field.
Nursing and health related fair
Date and time: Monday, October 14, 2024
Time: 11am to 1pm
Location: Devalcourt Auditorium, 320 Devalcourt St., Lafayette
Students interested in nursing and allied health fields are encouraged to work with employers in the medical field. This event provides insight into employment opportunities and career development in this critical area of healthcare.
BITS&STEM Career Fair
Date and time: Thursday, October 31, 2024
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Devalcourt Auditorium, 320 Devalcourt St., Lafayette
This event focuses on BITS (Business, IT, and Technology Studies) and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) students, including areas such as automotive, diesel repair, electricians, electronics, HVAC, IT, welding, etc. I’m guessing. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet industry leaders and explore career paths in these high-demand fields.
Liberal Arts/Humanities Career Fair
Date and time: Tuesday, November 12, 2024
Time: 9am to 1pm
Location: Devalcourt Auditorium, 320 Devalcourt St., Lafayette
This fair is designed for liberal arts and humanities students. Participants will have the opportunity to network with employers from a variety of industries, explore diverse career paths, and learn about further learning and professional development opportunities.
