How much do the big names in the medical industry make?

Healthcare stocks have lagged the broader market in 2023, and that’s reflected in many CEO pay packages.
My colleagues and I completed our annual tradition of analyzing CEO pay. For 2023, we entered data on 313 healthcare CEOs and found that they collectively made $3.5 billion last year and $4 billion in 2022. The average CEO’s take-home pay was $11 million, and the median was $4.1 million. These numbers compare to an average of $13 million and a median of $4.3 million in 2022.
what’s happening? The stock price fell because the CEO did not exercise as many shares as usual. But as we said last year, that doesn’t mean industry leaders are struggling. The median income for healthcare CEOs was 51 times the median American household income in 2023.
