AIT Clinic RN Jennifer Ferrer administers a mock vaccine to an actor patient.
As the fall semester progresses, the Allergy, Immunization, and Travel Clinic, part of Pat Walker Health Center’s medical services, will be administering both influenza and COVID-19 vaccines to protect the University community. We are supplying. Vaccination is one of the most effective ways to protect both your health and the well-being of others from the spread of these viruses.
AIT Clinic offers the trivalent influenza vaccine shot, which is designed to protect against three different influenza viruses, including two influenza A viruses and one influenza B virus. The latest COVID-19 vaccine offered by AIT Clinic is the 2024-2025 Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.
University A students, faculty and staff can receive vaccines at the Allergy/Immunization/Travel Clinic. Reservations are required for influenza vaccines and COVID-19 vaccinations. To schedule an appointment for either vaccine, please book through our patient portal or call 479-575-4451, option 1. You can receive both the influenza vaccine and the COVID-19 vaccine at the same time. You also have the option of billing your insurance for medical services or paying out-of-pocket for all appointments. It’s important to check with your insurance company about coverage for both the flu and COVID-19 vaccines. More information about clinic fees can be found on the Health Center’s Billing and Insurance webpage.
In addition to offering flu and COVID-19 vaccine appointments, Medical Services is also partnering with the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing this year to offer appointments at the Pat Walker Health Center, located in the atrium near the primary care clinic. “Stick and Treat” influenza vaccine clinics were held. Please be in the waiting room on Thursday, October 31st from 12:00pm to 3:30pm. University A students, faculty, and staff can participate in the influenza vaccine clinic. More information about the flu vaccine clinic will be shared on Arkansas News and @urkhealth social media. Account close to the day of the clinic. Please bring your ID card and insurance card to the flu vaccination clinic, or you may be able to receive the vaccination at your own expense.
