UMSL partners with World Wide Technology to provide educational opportunities for employees looking to advance their careers

Eligible World Wide Technology staff members receive full tuition assistance for up to 18 credit hours of undergraduate and 12 credit hours of graduate study at UMSL per year.

UMSL and World Wide Technology have signed a three-year agreement that includes a tuition assistance model that allows students to receive full tuition funding for up to 18 credit hours of undergraduate and 12 credit hours of graduate study at UMSL per year.

Some of the major organizations in the St. Louis area have their eye on the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Louis provides educational and professional development opportunities for employees looking to advance their careers.

World Wide Technology is the latest company to partner with the university. The company has entered into a three-year agreement that includes a tuition assistance model in which eligible staff members will receive full tuition assistance for up to 18 credit hours of undergraduate courses and 12 credit hours of graduate courses per year at UMSL. did. This model provides financial support and scholarships to minimize the financial burden on employees, even when enrolled as full-time students.

Our employees hold degrees in a variety of fields, including accounting, actuarial science, communications, computer science, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, economics, finance, financial technology, graphic design, information systems and technology, international relations, and business administration. The university also offers credit programs in areas such as artificial intelligence, business intelligence, corporate financial reporting, enterprise systems development, geographic information systems, mobile apps and computing, and human capital management.

UMSL will provide tailored registration and advisory support to all participating employees. The university also offers flexible course offerings, including day, evening, and online courses, where students can choose the option that best fits their schedule.

World Wide Technology has more than 10,000 employees worldwide and provides customers with expertise in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, networking, cybersecurity, data analytics, automation, and digital transformation.

“World Wide Technology is one of the largest and most successful companies in the St. Louis region, as is the University of Missouri-St. Louis. I’m excited to be here,” said Reggie Hill, UMSL’s vice president for strategic admissions and career advancement. “In today’s economy, professionals in all fields need to continually add new skills to advance their careers. We are committed to helping Worldwide Technology employees do just that. We offer high-quality undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs.”

Employees also receive a 20% discount on non-credit professional development courses and certificates from the UMSL Advanced Workforce Center Skills Lab.

As part of the agreement, UMSL and World Wide Technology are looking to create opportunities for UMSL students to participate in internships or explore full-time or part-time careers with the company.

UMSL has worked with many other business partners to identify and address the need to attract, retain, and develop talented workers through its Advanced Workforce Center. It offers a customized corporate partnership model where employers invest in their employees not just through degrees, but also through certifications and non-credit courses.

Earlier this month, the university signed an educational partnership agreement with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department to support commissioned officers pursuing degrees and certifications in industry-related fields.

UMSL previously established partnerships with BJC HealthCare and Compass Health to help each meet the growing need for quality trained social workers by supporting employees pursuing MSW degrees. I did.

The university is a strategic education partner in the Amazon Career Choice program, which provides employees with benefits such as full college tuition and industry certifications to land in-demand jobs.

We also work with online learning service providers AllCampus and Bisk, and partner with higher education institutions to make educational opportunities more accessible to working adults. Employees at thousands of organizations across the country have access to UMSL’s bachelor’s and master’s degree programs through the AllCampus workplace and Bisk Amplified™ platforms.
