NORFOLK, Va. — The Navy has provided sailors across the Mid-Atlantic Naval Region access to a 24-hour gym as part of a new health initiative.
This new health initiative aims to give seafarers the flexibility to exercise regardless of their shift schedule, daily routine or work shifts.
“The Navy is committed to ensuring our Navy has the resources they need to maintain their physical fitness and overall health,” said Rear Adm. Lahti, Mid-Atlantic Naval Area Commander. We provide flexibility to those we serve around the clock and strengthen our commitment to their health and responsiveness. This initiative directly addresses the needs of seafarers and is another step in improving their quality of life on and off duty. ”
To register for 24-hour gym access, sailors must visit their local gym.
