A military charity is partnering with a university to help veterans build new careers.

The 10-week course, launched by Hull 4 Heroes and the University of Hull, will run from November.

Dr. Katherine Wynne, who will teach part of the course, said the course will help veterans “leverage existing skills to help develop alternative career paths.”

The course is scheduled to begin in November.

Partners and children of veterans may also enroll, as long as they are over 18 and not in full-time education.

Helen Skinner, Hull 4 Heroes manager, said:

“This tailored course allows veterans and their families to identify their skills and gain insight into career paths they may not have considered before.”

She added: “We have a very strong and supportive network of businesses, charities, voluntary organizations and the private sector in our region who are really driving this work forward and are helping veterans in this program. We look forward to providing opportunities for you.”

Tony Bowler, a former military man who now runs his own company, believes that many veterans find it “very difficult to return to civilian life after the excitement and danger of military service.” There is.

“The new Veterans Program will allow retired military personnel and their families to try out and gain experience in different skill sets without immediately taking their first job, helping them transition into civilian life,” he said. “It will be.”

The Veterans Career Transition Program public day will be held at the Hull 4 Heroes office in Princess Quay Shopping Center on 23 October at 13:00 BST.
