Arkansas Tech University students enjoy the Hull Building Student Union patio during Tech Camp Out 2024.
On Thursday, Oct. 24, Tech Camp Out brought more than 200 Arkansas Tech University students to the Hull Building Student Union.
One of the most popular activities was a networking challenge that encouraged students to meet new people. Over 40 people completed the challenge.
Also included was a pumpkin decorating station that delivered 11 pumpkins to Stella Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and a collection of monetary donations, food, treats, toys and blankets to help the animals NovaStar Rescue served. There was also a puppy petting station.
Sponsored by the ATU College of Business and Economic Development, Tech Camp Out drew volunteer support from registered student organizations including Accounting Club, Student Health Information Management Association, Sigma Alpha, Alpha Gamma Rho, Student Government Association, and Emerging Leaders Society.
ATU campus ambassador Jerry the Bulldog was on hand to take photos with students.
Other activities include bingo, board games, card games, and outdoor sports. Refreshments were served and door prizes were presented.
ATU student Alison Norvell of Fort Smith won the grand prize. The prize consisted of an RTIC cooler, sleeping bag, and camping chair.
