To submit an obituary, contact Reading Eagle by phone at 610-371-5018, email at obituaries@readingeagle.com or fax at 610-371-5193.
Most obituaries published in Reading Eagle are submitted through funeral homes and crematoriums, but we also accept submissions from families. Obituaries can be emailed to obituaries@readingeagle.com.
In addition to the text of the obituary, you can also attach any photos you wish to include to this email. Type the text of your obituary into a Word document, Google doc, or email. Reading Eagle also requires a way to confirm the death, so please include either the phone number of the funeral home or crematorium responsible for the care of the deceased, or a photo of the death certificate. Please also include your full name, phone number, and address in this email.
All payments by family members must be made by credit card. We will send you a completed death registration certificate before requesting payment. However, we cannot publish an obituary until we receive full payment.
Obituaries can be submitted any date in the future, but must be received by 3:00 PM the day before posting to be published.
