Behavioral Health Career Forum Sponsored by YVC
YAKIMA, Wash. — Yakima Valley Community College is hosting a Behavioral Health Career Panel in partnership with the Washington State Department of Health (HCA), according to Yajaira Perez. Students and community members will learn from local experts on how to get started on important careers in substance use disorders and mental health services to address the region’s health care provider shortage. HCA, Yakima Valley Community College public relations representatives and other local experts will participate in the panel discussion. They can talk about the growing need for providers, the impact local experts in this field have on their communities, and career/educational resources.
Todd Jensen, HCA Behavioral Health Workforce Project Coordinator, and Deniere Fleming, YVC SUD Program Department Chair/Instructor, will participate in the panel discussion.
This forum will be held in Room C of the Kaminski Conference Center at Yakima Valley University. Building 38.
October 22, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interviews will be available before and after the panel discussions from 11:00 PM to 11:30 PM and from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM.
