BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Brunswick County Health Services will begin offering influenza and COVID-19 vaccines starting Tuesday, Oct. 1.
Vaccines are available without an appointment at the BCHS Main Clinic in Government Center Building A, 25 Bolivia Courthouse Drive, weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
Staff will accommodate requests for vaccinations from your vehicle if you have mobility issues or do not wish to enter the building.
“Our department takes great pride in protecting and promoting public health by making these vaccines available to everyone,” said Health Commissioner David Howard. “We encourage everyone to start planning now to protect themselves and those around them during this respiratory virus season. Practice good hygiene by washing your hands and cleaning surfaces, and keep up-to-date with vaccination against influenza and the new coronavirus.”
BCHS says most people can receive the vaccine for free with insurance coverage, but there is a limited supply of vaccines available for free to those without insurance.
