The Chehalis School District will host the first Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce After-Hours Event and Career and Technical Education (CTE) Kickoff Night on Thursday, Oct. 17 at the WF West High School Commons.
There will be speakers, tours of the CTE building, and student-prepared snacks.
The keynote speaker will be Maximilian MacDonald, owner of Maximilian Motorsports and one of our Community CTE partners.
The Business After Hours Event and CTE Kickoff will be held at 342 SW 16th St., Chehalis from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The CTE program is designed to increase the percentage of Chehalis graduates who earn a post-secondary credential and are on the path to success. CTE offers several fields for students to explore, including agriculture, business and marketing, family and consumer sciences, health sciences, skilled and technical sciences, and STEM careers.
“We are excited about the new and existing course offerings in the CTE program at WF West High School, and look forward to our community partnerships and expanding student certifications,” said Don Bunker, WF West Vice Principal and Director of CTE. Our CTE program is at the forefront of our district’s mission to prepare our students for the journey ahead. ”
Bunker is inviting the Chehalis community, business leaders and families to join us on October 17th.
The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce offers after-hours business hosted by Chamber members on the third Thursday of each month.
