ChristianaCare plans to build two small hospitals in Delaware County in 2025.
Nonprofit ChristianaCare is partnering with health care company Emerus Holdings to open two small hospitals in Delaware County in 2025, reports Delaware Business Now!
The location will be announced at a later date.
Each nearby hospital will have 10 inpatient beds, a full-service emergency department, and will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The hospital will be equipped to treat falls, injuries, heart attacks and strokes. ChristianaCare also has medical airlift capabilities.
These hospitals provide diagnostic services such as ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), X-ray, and laboratory services.
Virtual visits with experts are also available.
Finally, each location will have a health and welfare center with outpatient services developed based on local needs. These services may include primary care, outpatient care, and other specialty services.
“We are excited to bring this new model of care to our neighbors in Delaware County,” said ChristianaCare CEO Janice Nevin. “ChristianaCare is reimagining health care with a focus on providing the right care, in the right place and time, with the right medical team for every patient.”
“Our goal is to make health care easy and convenient for our Delco and Chester County neighbors.”
