Conference aims to expand Hawaii’s share of technology funding

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A technology conference taking place this week aims to turn the ideas and research of Hawaii business owners into reality and help the nation in the process.

Hawaii Technology Development Corporation’s Cindy Matsuki and Pacific Impact Zone Co-Founder Bernice Kissinger will appear on HNN’s Sunrise and discuss Pacific Tech, which will be held at the Hawaii Convention Center on October 28th and 29th. and spoke about the joint conference on the Pacific Defense Contract.

This event is designed to increase Hawaii’s share of innovation funding and contracting opportunities from government and private programs.

“Due to Hawaii’s strategic location and potential threats in the region, the Department of Defense is investing heavily in Hawaii and the Indo-Pacific region,” Matsuki said. “We want to make sure local businesses take advantage of this opportunity to help keep our soldiers and our country safe. But this is not the only topic that will be covered, and the Department of Agriculture, Department of Energy, Department of Energy, Other federal agencies, such as NOAA, will also be in attendance, as well as sessions on emerging industries such as additive manufacturing and aerospace.”

The conference offers attendees the opportunity to take a deep dive into America’s seed funding Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs and learn how to translate research into impactful market solutions. I will.
