It will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton, 1000 NE Multnomah St. in Portland from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Located in the Lloyd District, this venue is accessible by the MAX Blue, Green, and Red lines, TriMet bus lines 8, 70, and 77, and the A and B loops of the Portland Streetcar. We are recruiting transportation operators, maintenance service personnel, mechanics, engineers, etc. They serve a critical function for TriMet, allowing us to provide and add service throughout our tri-county service area.

New hires in certain positions are eligible for hiring bonuses, including a $7,500 bonus for new bus and MAX operators and a $2,500 bonus for select maintenance positions.

Last month, TriMet approved a new labor wage agreement with the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 757. Under the new contract, operators’ hourly wages will start at $29.35 and increase to $42.75 within three years.

TriMet provides transportation service throughout much of the Portland metropolitan area. The company operates bus, MAX light rail, WES commuter rail and LIFT paratransit services in parts of Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties.

Founded in 1969, TriMet is a local government in Oregon. Approximately 3,500 of our employees are civil servants.

TriMet offers significant benefits to its employees, providing job security and a welcoming and supportive work environment. Some of our operators have been driving with us for over 30 years. In the coming years, union employees will receive benefits such as a $150 monthly child care subsidy, $5,200 in annual tuition reimbursement, and an increase to 10% of employer contributions to each union employee’s 401(a) retirement plan.
