Creighton volleyball coach Kirsten Booth reaches 600 career wins.

Creighton volleyball defeated Georgetown on Friday night, giving the coach his 600th career win as a coach. The Blue Jays are in first place in the conference with a record of 18-2 overall and 9-0 in the Big East. Georgetown fell to 8th place. The Blue Jays got off to an 11-3 start in the first set, led by ace players Madi Bilinovic, Cindy Breissinger and Eva Martin. Nora Sis had six kills in the first set, which Creighton won 25-21. Sis rallied to dominate in the second set, racking up eight more kills on 10 swings to lead the Blue Jays to a 25-13 win in the second set. Creighton continued to dominate, taking an 8-0 lead in the third set, eventually taking the third set 25-9. Sis led the team with 16 kills. Martin had 10 kills, seven digs and three aces, and Kendra Waite moved closer to a double-double with 30 assists and nine digs. Elise Goetzinger had eight kills. The Creighton volleyball team defeated Georgetown on Friday night, earning her 600th career win as a coach.

The Blue Jays sit in the middle of the conference, leading the Big East with an 18-2 record and 9-0 in Big East play.

Georgetown went 8-13 overall and 1-8 in league play.

The Blue Jays started the first set with an 11-3 run, led by aces from Maddie Bilinovic, Cindy Breissinger and Eva Martin.

Nora Sis had six kills in the first set, which Creighton won 25-21.

Sis rallied to take the lead in the second set, racking up eight kills on another 10 swings to lead the Blue Jays to a 25-13 win in the second set.

Creighton got off to a strong start with an 8-0 lead in the third set, but ultimately won the third set 25-9.

Shizu led the team with 16 kills. Martin had 10 kills, seven digs and three aces, and Kendra Waite moved closer to a double-double with 30 assists and nine digs.

Elise Goetzinger had eight kills.

The Blue Jays will return to the court Saturday at 5 p.m. to face New Jersey’s Seton Hall.
