TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – For Tyler ISD students, 8th grade is a pivotal time as they strive for success.
Hubbard Middle School teacher Jill Stadinka designed the Career Speaker Series for her 8th grade college and career exploration class.
“This is a kind of intake for us to help our students understand their goals, needs, and desires for the future, which is difficult in this day and age of social media and digital world. ,” Studinka said.
This series is designed to invite a variety of experts and community leaders from across East Texas. On Friday, experts from Caldwell Zoo came to Hubbard to share information about their careers with students.
“I personalize everything for each student to make sure they are successful,” Studinka says.
The Career Speaker Series continues until December. Studinka students also explore financial literacy and employability skills.
